In January 1993 the Pennington County General Crime Victim Advocacy program was founded. In April 2001 it became the Pennington/Red Lake Crime Victim Services Program. This program is endorsed by the Pennington and Red Lake County Attorney's Offices and the local Law Enforcement Centers and is administered by Pennington County.
